LENS MENU
Plastic lenses: lightweight, relatively safe, but scratch easily without a scratch coating; can be tinted to almost any color and shade.
Glass lenses:  good scratch resistance, but heavy; also more dangerous if they break; not available in rimless frame styles.
Polycarbonate lenses:  great impact resistance, lightweight, thin profile, UV blocker, but scratch relatively easily.  Great for kids and active adults.
Trivex lenses:  similar to polycarbonate lenses with better optics, but less thin
High Index Lenses:  similar to polycarbonate lenses, but can be made even thinner
Multifocal Lenses:  provide vision correction for distance and near viewing (bifocals), or for distance, intermediate, and near (trifocals) ; available as no-line progressives or lined segments.
No-Line Progressive Lenses:  provide vision correction for distance, intermediate, and near viewing without lines or sections in the lenses.  This allows continuous vision from far to near.
Bifocal Lenses:  provide vision correction for distance and near viewing; a visible line divides the upper lens area (used for distance) from the lower lens area (used for near).
Trifocal Lenses:  provide vision correction for distance, intermediate, and near viewing; two sets of visible lines divide the upper lens area (used for distance) from the intermediate area (used for intermediate viewing), which is then divided from the lower area (used for near viewing).
Anti-reflective Lenses:  special lens coating that reduces distracting lens reflections.  The results are more transmitted light, better quality of vision, improved night vision, and reduced eye fatigue.  Great for working on a computer and driving at night, these lenses also offer a cosmetically appealing "invisible lens look" that makes the lens "disappear" and shows your eyes more clearly.
Transitions Lenses:  lenses that darken in the sunlight and lighten indoors.  Improved technology provides a lens that is virtually clear indoors and almost as dark as sunglasses outdoors, all the while protecting you form harmful UV.
Scratch Resistant Coating:  a special coating that greatly improves the scratch resistance of all types of plastic lenses.
Ultraviolet (UV) Protection:  a special lens feature or coating that protects the eyes from harmful UV rays.  We recommend this for all of our lenses, especially for children and active adults who spend much of their time outdoors.
Polarized Lenses:  the best lens option for eliminating glare off of water, snow, sand, windows, vehicles, buildings and other shiny surfaces.  Polarization helps to ease eye strain and fatigue in bright sunlight.
